Santa and Mrs Claus Biography

It all began in 1998. Santa Joe had acquired a few pieces of the Department 56 North Pole Series collectibles. He and Mary decided to display and add to Santa Joe's collection. From such humble beginnings they built a massive recreation of the North Pole that encompassed nearly 60 buildings and workshops, hundreds of elves and was divided into four distinct areas: manufacturing, visiting center, Elf Mountain, and the woodlands. The result of this endeavor became the inspiration for Santa Joe's collection of stories and recent first children's book release "Santa's World" which can be bought online at Santa Claus Stories. His first fictional novel regarding the legends of Santa and the North Pole is in its final editing stages.

North Pole

As the North Pole grew, Santa Joe's appearance began to change and he had begun to look more and more like Santa Claus! In 2001 Mary got him his first Santa suit and his character developed even more. In 2003 he joined the Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas and learned a great deal more about his Santa heritage. Santa Joe soon became one of the leaders of this group and their media spokesperson for a time.

He and Mrs. Claus had decided to leave their surroundings in California and moved to Eastern Tennessee. Mrs. Claus calls this area "Christmas Central" because of the incredible celebrations, decorations, and most importantly - family orientation and values of the region. Not only do they love their new home area, but they are within a few hours drive of Atlanta, Asheville, Winston-Salem, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and many more cities.

Santa Joe has been interviewed and seen in countless newspapers, radio and TV stations and has appeared in commercials for Disney and Nickelodeon. He and Mary also starred in a half hour program for Wealth TV entitled "Stories of Santa & Mrs. Claus". So whether you watch CNN, Good Morning America or read USA Today you have probably seen Santa Joe in action.
